In this project, high-purity micronized calcium carbonate with suitable whiteness was supplied to a company operating in the paint manufacturing industry. Because paint formulations are sensitive to whiteness, particle uniformity, moisture and how the powder disperses in the mix, the plant’s required technical specifications were carefully reviewed before production began. A suitable sample was then selected in terms of mesh, purity and particle size grading and provided to the customer’s quality control department for initial testing.

Once the sample was approved, the main shipment was produced under close supervision to ensure that product specifications remained consistent across the entire order. The calcium carbonate produced was evaluated for particle size, impurity levels and uniformity so that, when used on the production line, it would not cause discoloration, surface roughness or settling in the product. In the final stage, the product was packed in durable packaging suitable for transporting mineral materials and dispatched to the plant according to the agreed schedule.

Carrying out this project gave the client access to a raw material of consistent quality with a reliable, regular supply. Using the right calcium carbonate on the paint production line not only improved the hiding power and surface quality of the product but also helped control production costs and reduce waste. Throughout the project, Aban Powder coordinated the production, packaging and periodic delivery of shipments so that the plant’s operations could continue without interruption.
